I’m recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join an expanding freight forwarding company based in the Birmingham area. You must have AIR or OCEAN freight experience.
Daily duties will include:
* Receiving customer quotations
* Air & ocean freight pricing import, export and cross trade
* Negotiating rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
* Prepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within an agreed timeframe
* Creating and issuing quotations
* Communicate with customers to manage and follow up on all quotes, obtaining feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to relevant teams
* Track success and failure rate of quotes
* Develop and build relationships with customers
* Updating tariffs
Experience needed:
* Hands on operational and industry knowledge of air and seafreight inbound, outbound and crosstrade
* Ability to work under pressure
* Dangerous goods knowledge is preferable
* Strong numerical and commercial skills
* Excellent communication skills
Working hours:
* Monday - friday 0900am - 1730pm
