Job Description:
Locum Anatomical Pathology Technician (Band 5)
Site: North West England
Department: Histopathology
Position: Anatomical Pathology Technician
Grade: Band 5
Placement Details:
* Core Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
* Shift Dates: Starting 12/08/2024 at 08:30, ending 01/11/2024 at 16:30
* Total Shifts: 60 shifts
* Additional Opportunity: Potential to cover on-call service
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine mortuary procedures and ensure the accurate processing of specimens.
* Assist pathologists with post-mortem examinations.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the mortuary.
* Document and manage records related to post-mortem examinations.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Anatomical Pathology or related field.
* Experience in a mortuary or histopathology setting is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
