Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: East Anglia based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months +
Working Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Working Arrangement: Remote Working
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Civil Litigation Law to deal with a varied caseload to include Commercial Litigation and Debt Recovery matters.

Duties may include:
• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Civil Litigation to include contract disputes, Commercial Litigation and Debt Recovery matters
• Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
• Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
• Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
• Represent the Council and conduct advocacy where appropriate in remote hearings
This position has an attractive rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella dependent on experience.
