Job Description:
A GOOD secondary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team starting in September 2024. This full-time role is perfect for an individual committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to promote student engagement and achievement.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create comprehensive support plans.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
* Support students’ social and emotional development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in SEND or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience working with students with a range of SEND.
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs.
* A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
