TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Camden. This full-time position is for the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate. The successful applicant will support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, Camden
Contract: Full-Time, Academic Year
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
* Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Support the social and emotional development of students with SEN.
* Help prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students.
* Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s educational and personal development.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs support are advantageous.
