Management Accountant| | Lancashire

Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant perm basis. As a Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support to the Senior Accounting team. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts.

Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Accurately and timely post journal entries.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas.
* Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.
* Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
* Maintain and enhance robust processes and controls in line with Group requirements.
* Ensure consistent documentation of tasks and activities per internal policies.
* Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.

About you
* Part qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant
* Proven experience in preparing monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
* Experience with financial audits and statutory account preparation.
* Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret financial data accurately.
* Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take proactive steps to address them.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
