Role Overview:
As a Senior Systems Accountant, you will be at the forefront of financial decision-making processes, leveraging your expertise in Hyperion HFM to drive business growth and efficiency. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, perform monthly forecasting, and evaluate capital expenditure initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming finance systems and processes within a leading company.
Candidates MUST HAVE strong experience with Hyperion HFM and good exposure to the consolidation tool.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive support for the Hyperion HFM system, ensuring the smooth operation of regular processes for finance end users.
* Deliver engaging Hyperion top-up training sessions for finance end users, enhancing their capabilities and confidence in using the system.
* Act as a key liaison between finance end users and the managed service support and maintenance team, ensuring effective documentation and resolution of defects and small changes.
* Lead small to medium-sized finance systems change projects, driving innovation and efficiency.
* Maintain system integrity, manage access, and act as the system administrator for the finance system.
* Serve as a super user for all system functionality, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to streamline processes.
* Conduct first-line testing of newly implemented system enhancements and ensure system accuracy and efficiency.
* Assist with external or internal audit queries related to Hyperion data and system operation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
* Develop and deliver tailored training to finance users, recommending best practices and standard Hyperion approaches.
* Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes involving the Hyperion system, enhancing operational efficiency.
* Lead specific system improvements and transformations, including systemizing manual processes.
* Build, test, and maintain system reports to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
* Strong working knowledge of Hyperion HFM, specifically the consolidations tool.
* Proven experience as a financial systems accountant with a track record of delivering results.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
* Ambitious and self-motivated, with a desire to grow and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
* Previous experience in a larger business environment is highly desirable.
