Job Description:
Locum Community Physiotherapist - Band 6
Position: Band 6 Physiotherapist
Location: East of England
Contract: 8-month secondment
About the Role:
* Opportunity: Join a forward-thinking and innovative community-based service within the Havering Intermediate Care team.
* Team Environment: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including district nurses, occupational therapists, nurses, and community matrons, ensuring an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
* Training: Benefit from collaborative training opportunities with nursing and therapy colleagues in a large, multi-disciplinary team.
* Development: Supported in professional development, including training for Non-Medical Prescribing.
Main Duties:
* Conduct clinical visits to patients’ homes and care homes.
* Deliver physiotherapy interventions to a diverse patient population.
* Collaborate effectively with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Requirements:
* Qualifications: * Recognized Physiotherapy Qualification.
* Member of the Health Professionals Council.
* Desirable: Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, MSc Degree in a relevant field.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Knowledge of physical health conditions, including stroke and neurorehabilitation.
* 24 months (about 2 years) post-registration experience in an NHS clinical setting.
* Experience in community adult care and rehabilitation.
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary/integrated team.
Skills:
* Proficiency in IT and maintaining accurate records.
* Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
Additional Information:
* Induction: Comprehensive one-week induction at our Rainham, Essex head office.
* License: Valid UK driver’s license required.
* Disclosure & Barring Service Check: Required for this role.
