People Solutions are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to work with our well-established client in Halifax in the Automotive sector.

Day to Day Duties
* Analyse operating environment
* Identify process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy
* Conduct time and motion studies
* Improve labour utilisation by studying work methods
* Testing modifications
* Designing new methods
* Recommending job restructuring
* Preparing work-analysis information and reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
* Complete work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors
* Protect organisation value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches
Essential Skills
* At least two years’ experience working in the automotive sector in a similar role
* Competence in problem solving methodologies, primarily Ishikawa and 5why
* Computer literate with all Microsoft Office packages.
* Effective communication skills (verbal & written), coupled with good numeric skills to be able to present facts for demonstration purposes
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
* Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
