Job Description:
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Occupational Therapists to work under the supervision of a Band 6, as part of a multidisciplinary team in the specified area, providing specialist occupational therapy input aimed at achieving maximum independence for all service users.
Main Duties:
* The post holder will work under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist Clinical Lead.
* There may be responsibility for day-to-day organisation and referral to support staff.
* The role may involve flexible hours, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis, and cover across the community and community hospitals.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration with OT qualifications.
* Appropriate clinical experience in an acute setting.
* Effective communication skills.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Pre- or post-graduate experience working with patients/clients in any of the following areas: stroke rehab, social services, mental health, paediatrics, or palliative care.
* Experience in specialist assessments such as cognitive, perceptual, wheelchair assessments, carer’s assessments, and Multi-Factorial Falls Assessments.
* Experience with interventions like the DFG process, cognitive or perceptual assessments, and wheelchair assessments.
* Experience or skills in supervising OT Assistants, Tech 3s, and OT students.
