Job Title: Project Accountant / Management Accountant
Location: Plymouth
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Overview: Robert Half is partnering with a large business to recruit a Project Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in providing accurate and timely financial information and advice to Business Unit and Project Managers. This support will enable effective financial control, maximising value for money, cash flow, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management / Financial Reporting: Produce and analyse accounts according to the monthly timetable, ensuring data integrity and maintaining comprehensive audit trails for both internal and external audits.
* Project Status Packs: Collaborate with Project Teams to produce monthly Project Status Packs for management reviews, with quarterly preparation for Senior Management reviews.
* Customer Invoicing: Raise customer invoices accurately and promptly, in line with contract terms and conditions, and management information requirements.
* Other: Support with audit queries, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant - applications considered for those candidates at final stage of qualification
* Proven experience in project accounting. Applications will be considered from those with a strong management accounting background.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to provide financial advice and information effectively.
* Ability to maintain accurate and thorough audit trails.
