Reed Education is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced School Catering Assistant to join a primary school in Tingley, Wakefield, starting immediately working Mon-Fri (08:30am until 1:30pm). Day-to-Day of the Role: * Preparing and serving meals in line with the school’s menu and specific dietary needs of students.. * Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and dining areas.. * Assisting in the planning of menus and the ordering of food supplies.. * Complying with all food safety regulations and maintaining kitchen protocols.. * Collaborating with school staff to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all students.. * Managing kitchen inventory and promptly reporting any shortages or concerns to the catering manager.. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Proven experience in a school catering role.. * Possession of a valid Enhanced DBS check.. * In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.. * A positive disposition and enthusiasm for working with children.. * Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the school environment..
