Science Teacher * Job Type: Long Term Contract
* Location: Bedford
* Daily Rate: £130 - £250
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bedford. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering interactive and engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4. This long-term role is set to commence in September/October 2024, offering a daily rate between £130 and £250.
Day-to-day of the role: * Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, ensuring lessons are interactive and incorporate hands-on experiments.
* Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and scientific inquiry.
* Help students develop critical thinking skills and a passion for Science.
* Prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards.
* Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A degree in Science or a related discipline.
* Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.
* Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
