Academics Rochester are working with ’Good’ Ofsted rated Primary Schools, who are seeking a supportive and motivational HLTA to support children across KS1 and 2
As a HLTA working with mainstream SEN children, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to primary-aged children with a range of special educational needs.
You will be working on a 1:1 basis or small groups of SEN children to support their education plans in an inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
* Follow personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs
* Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students
* Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback to teacher
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social emotional and academic development
* Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and participate in regular reviews and assessments
* Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education
Qualification and Requirements:
* Really good behaviour management skills
* Proven experience in teaching children with special educational needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a diverse workload
