Welder/Production Operative
Location: Shefford
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift: 39 Hours; 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (12pm finish Friday)
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Shefford, is seeking a skilled Fabricator with TIG welding experience to join their production team. The company specialises in working with stainless steel and prides itself on delivering high-quality products to meet customer demands.
As a Fabricator/TIG Welder, you will play a key role in the production team, primarily focusing on TIG welding with stainless steel.
Responsibilities:
* Performing TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium with varying thicknesses (0.9mm to 5.0mm).
* Assisting in other manufacturing processes as required, with training provided.
* Conducting daily equipment checks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Adhering to workshop health and safety practices at all times.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
* Producing high-quality products that meet the company’s standards and quality checks.
* Meeting production targets and deadlines to ensure customer demands are met.
Requirements:
* Fabrication and TIG welding skills (essential).
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a production environment.
* A positive attitude toward maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
