Accountant *Salary: £40k p.a. (pro-rata for contract)

We are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team on an interim basis. This role is ideal for a dynamic and proactive individual who is part-qualified or qualified with experience in financial processes and controls. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial statements through balance sheet reconciliation, internal control reviews, and month-end closing activities.
Day-to-day of the role: *Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
*Assist in reviewing and evaluating internal processes and controls, identifying any deficiencies.
*Provide expert advice on the design and implementation of effective internal controls.
*Support the month-end closing process and the preparation of management accounts.
*Participate in reforecasting and budgeting exercises to align financial projections with business objectives.
*Tackle other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with relevant experience.
*Proven experience with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Strong background in streamlining processes, designing, and implementing effective controls.
*Auditing experience focused on internal controls is highly desirable.
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
