Role: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Location: Central London - 3 days in office
Salary: £42-45k + bonus & benefits
This is an exciting FMCG and manufacturing business based in the city of London. They have been experiencing exponential growth over the years with their tasty products being stocked in top retailers across the UK and Europe.
Due to this growth, they are looking to expand their commercial team by recruiting a talented Accounts Payble Supervisor to join their finance department.
Role
This position will be a strong lead for the Accounts Payable function; accountable for all aspects of the AP function including improving processes. The Accounts Payable Supervisor, for this FMCG business, will take on a number of key duties including:
* Provide strong leadership and support to the AP team, including direct line management of the Accounts Payable Assistant.
* Timely and accurate recording and payment of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
* Regular and accurate supplier account reconciliations for review by Financial Controller
* Ensuring accurate and up-to-date supplier data within finance system Sage.
* Managing supplier query investigations, providing resolutions in a timely manner.
* Providing regular reporting, including KPIs on performance of the AP function.
* Drive process and system improvements within the AP function.
* Seek ways to automate processes and maximise efficiency, taking responsibility for managing improvement projects from start to finish.
* Effectively manage change within the AP function, ensuring smooth transitions while implementing system changes.
* Ensuring maximum efficiency of internal systems including Sage and Concur.
* Liaising with budget holders to review open POs to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Profile
The ideal profile for this Accounts Payable Supervisor position should have the following attributes:
* Strong experience within a similar AP Lead or Senior AP position.
* Evidence of supervising/managing individuals in AP team.
* Experience from an FMCG / Manufacturing / Retail background with knowledge of stock invoices.
* Excellent communicator and collaborator.
* Experience in process improvements/streamlining is highly beneficial.
* Sage 200, Concur experience is advantageous along with Excel.
