Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
* Providing one-on-one support: Working closely with students to provide individualised assistance, ensuring they have the necessary support to reach their full potential.
* Assisting with classroom activities: Collaborating with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Promoting independence: Encouraging and supporting students to develop independence and confidence in their academic and social skills.
* Monitoring and reporting: Keeping track of student progress and behaviour, and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
* Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND): Utilising your experience with SEND to provide tailored assistance and accommodations as needed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
* DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
* Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
* Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
