�? Job Opportunity: School Caretaker �? A secondary school in Eccles is looking to appoint a reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to join our team, starting 4th November 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
?? Position: School Caretaker
?? Start Date: 4th November 2024
? Hours: 36 hours per week, all year round (Please note: Hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the school, including holiday cover and school events)
?? Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent for the right candidate)
?? Role Overview: As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring that the school is well-maintained, clean, safe, and secure at all times. You will perform a variety of tasks to support the smooth day-to-day running of the school, including:
* General maintenance and repairs across the school premises
* Ensuring the safety and security of the building and grounds
* Opening and closing the school, including for out-of-hours events
* Supporting school events and holiday cover by adapting your hours when necessary
* Maintaining cleanliness and performing routine inspections of facilities
* Liaising with contractors and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed
?? Requirements: We are looking for candidates who possess:
* Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role (preferably in a school or similar environment)
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
* Basic skills in building repairs and maintenance
* Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and the ability to work under minimal supervision
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and contractors
* A proactive attitude towards keeping the school environment clean, safe, and welcoming
