Job Description:
Overview
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the tax affairs of individual clients within our client’s Witney-based practice. Your responsibilities will include providing expert tax advice, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and delivering exceptional service to their clients.
Responsibilities
*Client Portfolio Management: *Manage a portfolio of private clients, including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, [and a small number of trusts]
*Prepare and review self-assessment and partnership tax returns.
*Calculate tax liabilities and identify tax planning opportunities.
*Handle client queries promptly and professionally.
*Correspond with HMRC as required.
*Liaise directly with clients to build strong relationships.
*Tax Compliance and Reporting: *Ensure accurate and timely preparation of personal tax returns.
*Handle capital gains computations.
*Assist with ad hoc advisory work as needed.
*Collaborate with Senior Managers and Partners.
*Tax Planning and Strategy: *Provide expert advice on personal tax matters.
*Develop innovative tax planning strategies.
*Stay informed about changes in tax legislation.
*Advise clients on areas such as Capital Gains Tax and Property Tax.
Qualifications and Skills
*Relevant tax qualifications (e.g., ATT, CTA) preferred.
*Strong knowledge of personal tax regulations.
*Excellent communication and client management skills.
*Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
