Head of Finance - Permanent - £65,000 - Slough
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading academy based in Slough to assist with their recruitment of a head of finance on a permanent basis. This is a key role within their team that will support growth and ensure robust financial governance.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement the school’s financial strategy in alignment with overall school goals
*Prepare for termly audits
*Manage payroll and pensions
*Line manage two finance officers
*Report to governors on the use of school funds
*Reconcile all payments to Suppliers & Ad-Hoc
*Cash Flow - Weekly
*Management Accounts - Monthly
*Oversee some key functions within the school as required
Successful Candidate:
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
*Experience working within the education sector
*Ability to Line Manage the finance team members
*Good knowledge of MS excel and Sage.
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to manage a high work load and meet deadlines
*Ability to produce monthly management accounts, termly reports to governors and other statutory agencies.
