Job Title: Care AssistantMake a Difference in Dementia Care! Join Our Compassionate Team as a Care Assistant in Sheffield.
Location: Sheffield, UK
Salary: £11.65 to £12.20 per hour (depending on qualifications)
Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week, Days, 8am - 8pm
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those living with dementia? Our nursing home in Sheffield is seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support to our residents, enhancing their quality of life and ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities: *Personal Care Support: Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
*Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, actively engaging residents in conversation and activities to promote their mental well-being.
*Care Plan Implementation: Work closely with the nursing team to implement and follow individual care plans tailored to the unique needs of residents with dementia.
*Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to nursing staff promptly to ensure timely intervention.
*Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
*Team Collaboration: Work as part of a dedicated care team, sharing knowledge and support to ensure the highest standards of care.
What We’re Looking For: *Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Qualifications in Health and Social Care or related fields are beneficial and may influence your pay rate.
*Compassionate Nature: A genuine passion for caring for individuals with dementia, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
*Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents and their families effectively.
*Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team while being adaptable to the individual needs of residents.
*Flexible Availability: Willingness to work shifts from 8am to 8pm and alternate weekends
