Job Description:
Our professional client is seeking a Paralegal to join their team in Camberley. The main purpose of this role is to assist in the management of private client matters while working closely with experienced solicitors.This hands-on position will involve various aspects of private client work, providing valuable support to the legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Day-to-Day Administration: Manage the day-to-day administration of probate files, including receipting cheques, processing payments, drafting letters for debt payments, and updating estate accounts.
*Client Onboarding Support: Support client onboarding by drafting opening forms, conducting due diligence, ensuring compliance with money laundering regulations, and preparing draft retainers.
*Document Drafting: Draft legal documents such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection application forms, Wills, Letters of Wishes, and trust documentation.
Experience and Skills Requirements
*Private Client Experience: Previous experience as a Private Client paralegal within a law firm is essential.
*Procedural Knowledge: Solid understanding of private client procedures, including Wills, Trusts, and Probate matters.
*Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
*Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
*Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*Proactive Attitude: A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Legal Qualifications: Relevant legal qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
