English Teacher
*Location: Bedford
*Start Date: January 2025
*Salary: £32,000 - £45,000
*Job Type: Permanent
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Corby. This full-time position is set to begin in January 2025. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality English education in line with the national curriculum.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons that meet the national curriculum standards.
*Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
*Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.
*Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are fully equipped to achieve their target grades.
*Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for effective teaching and learning.
*Attend and contribute to department meetings, parent evenings, and other school events as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
*A degree in a relevant subject (English Language or Literature).
*Previous experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4; experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable.
*Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
*A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching English.
*Right to work in the UK.
