My client is seeking someone with experience of general maintenance along with gardening skills. There is also a requirement to drive a minibus (training given) Full time role, 52 weeks a year (with holiday) Mon-Fri 0800-1700. Part time hours can also be considered.

Workplace based close to Haywards Heath. Plenty of free parking on site. Due to workplace location, it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport.
Salary. £27200 per year, plus excellent staff benefits, free lunches for staff. Great opportunity to work in beautiful surroundings. The role is subject to successful DBS checking.
The Role:
This is a key position and a very exciting time to be joining this organisation. The role demands flexibility and attention to detail together with energy and enthusiasm and the willingness to go the extra mile. The Maintenance assistant role encompasses all aspects of site maintenance and requires a close working relationship with the Head of Maintenance, Estate Manager and other members of the Estate team.
Duties and responsibilities include:
To report to and liaise with the Head of Maintenance regarding all issues that relate to the maintenance and administration of the estate.
To include - All building and site repairs, - Health and safety compliance - Fire risk analysis and compliance - Security - Plumbing - COSHH - General maintenance
To assist with preventative maintenance.
To order parts, chemicals and stock in accordance with the budget and purchasing procedures.
To maintain and ensure compliance with all the appropriate health and safety regulations.
To undertake regular checks - in particular: weekly legionella flush, monthly carbon-monoxide checks, monthly window safety checks, monthly blind cleat safety check, monthly smoke alarm battery check, monthly fire extinguishers and fire blanket checks
To maintain and check equipment safety, including door closures, ladders and workshop facilities
To assist the groundsman with gardening duties
To perform carpentry, painting & decorating, plumbing and minor electrical work as may be required.
To drive the minibuses.
To be out of hours duty phone holder on a rota basis to be agreed.
To work with other members of the team in a co-operative and helpful manner.
To deliver any reasonable request by the Facilities Manager or the Head of Maintenance.
Experience and competencies required:
Very good maintenance skills (Electrical certification an advantage)
Full, clean driving licence.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and safety
The ability to work independently and also as part of a team
