Teaching Assistant Opportunity at a Welcoming and High-Achieving Primary School in Welwyn
We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and dynamic teaching team at a well-regarded primary school in Welwyn. This school has been praised by Ofsted (December 2023) for the exceptional behaviour of its pupils, who demonstrate politeness, respect, and contribute to a positive, calm learning environment. Playtimes are filled with happy, active pupils engaging in a variety of activities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, creative, and energetic individual with a passion for supporting children’s learning. You will work closely with teachers to assist in mainstream classes, helping to deliver an engaging and supportive learning experience. This role is ideal for someone who has strong communication skills, a background working with primary-aged children, and solid literacy and numeracy skills. Enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
*Collaborate with teachers to support learning in the classroom
*Engage with pupils to foster a positive, supportive learning environment
*Demonstrate patience, understanding, and flexibility when working with children
*Take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
