Job Description:
School Caretaker *Location: Swindon
*Job Type: Full-time
*Salary: £23,516 – £26,285 per annum
Join our dedicated team as a School Caretaker, playing a crucial role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-kept environment for both staff and students. This position is perfect for someone with a hands-on approach and a knack for general maintenance.
Day-to-day of the role: *Open and close the school premises, ensuring site security.
*Maintain regular upkeep of the school facilities, including general maintenance and setups for school activities.
*Participate in planned works during out-of-term time.
*Manage rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends to oversee site safety and manage lettings.
*Work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and effective communication skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Basic DIY and handyman skills are essential.
*Experience in caretaking or a similar role is preferred; however, candidates with relevant transferable skills will also be considered.
*Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations is beneficial.
*Must possess a clean driving license.
*Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
*A proactive attitude and the ability to work flexibly in response to changing demands.
