Job Description:
Job title: Care Team Leader
Location: Apna House, 6 Park Ave, Birmingham B18 5NE
Rate Of Pay: £12.50 Per Hour
Shift Patterns: 40hrs a Week Guaranteed, Permanent Contract.
Information about the Role:
Working as a Care Team Leader at Apna House your duties will include the following:
*Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Support Workers.
*Administer medication, conduct assessments.
*Ensure that care plans are kept up to date.
*Respect the dignity and preferences of the people we support as well playing your own part in establishing a home where everyone feels safe and confident to live their best life.
*Be involved and deliver daily activities to the people we support.
*Manage and help organise the duty rota.
*Carrying out duties as requested by senior management.
*Driving License required as occasional need to drive the care home van.
Information about the Service:
Apna house is part of a group of homes that benefit from the support of a comprehensive multi disciplinary team. This arrangement provides support and supervision in the delivery of care allowing for a clinical perspective to be considered when challenges or complications in care delivery are encountered.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Team Leader:
· NVQ 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
· Ideally 6 month or more experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant / Senior Support Worker / Team Leader or Deputy Manager in Mental Health.
· Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
· Good communication skills.
· Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
· Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
