We’re partnering with an AI-focused start-up in the Biotech space focused on using AI to advance medicines. They’re looking for a Director of AI to join their existing team of 3 AI experts to work on projects using multimodal data from various sources, working on projects from research to deployment.
THE ROLE
As Director of AI for the business you will:
*Manage a small team of Data Scientists
*Read research papers to come up with new ways of using AI to solve business problems
*Lead projects using multimodal data and cutting-edge AI techniques
*Take projects from ideation through to deployment, getting involved in DevOps and Version Control where needed
*Opportunity to mentor junior team members
*Liaise with senior stakeholders across the business
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
*Master’s or PhD in a relevant subject
*Experience working with cutting-edge AI techniques e.g. LLM’s etc
*Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer / AI Engineer with a preference for Biotechnology industry experience
*Experience working with large, multimodal data sets from various sources
*Good communication skills
*Experience managing a small team
*Tech: Python, SQL, Cloud technology
SALARY AND BENEFITS
*Basic salary £110,000-£130,000
*London office - required in minimum 3 times per week but ideally 4
