Job Description:
Position: R&D Technologist
Based: Haddenham, UK
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*Develop and launch new products (including matching) for specified customers to achieve sales growth.
*Link design activity to business strategy by delivering innovative products within the constraints of the brief.
*Use sound commercial and technical awareness of our ingredients, processes and customer requirements to deliver ’right first time’.
*Provide technical support to operations/logistics/purchasing for cost release, quality maintenance and improvement programs.
*Interact with customers to support relationship building and customer intimacy strategy.
*Interact with suppliers and the general marketplace to ensure up to date ingredients and technologies are employed in new developments.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
*Experience in dry seasonings.
*Experience in Seasonings and Flavour development.
*BSc Graduate or equivalent.
*Food Science or related subject.
*Personal Characteristics - creative, self-motivated, dynamic and results orientated.
*Able to think laterally and solve complex problems.
*Proven ability of teamwork in a cross-functional environment.
*Project & team management skills.
*Developed communication skills.
*Able to demonstrate sound understanding of the development process and how it links to the business, including on-line plant trials.
