MB699 – Production and Assembly Operative

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am til 3pm

First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production and Assembly Operative on behalf of our client based on the outskirts of Oxford. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts as directed by the Team Leader. Adopting good workmanship standards, paying particular attention to quality.
*Assist in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.
*Assist in the preparation and bonding of boats.
*Assist in the cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded boats.
*Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as direct by your line supervisor.
*Assist in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.
*Assist in the training of other personnel including new production operatives as required.
*Maintain workstation in a clean and tidy state.
*Operates in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety procedure, and other related company policies.
*To carry out such tasks and duties as may be required from time to time by senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:
*A good standard of general education.
*Either qualified by experience (2 years plus) or Engineering BTEC Level qualifications with 1-2 years plus experience of working in a similar environment.
*Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools.
*Can do attitude.
*Self-motivated and be able to work on own initiative.
*Problem solver.
*Good communicator – be able to understand and communicate instructions clearly and effectively.
*Good attention to detail.
*Highly organised and be able to prioritise work.
*Good work ethic.
*Team Player.
