After-School Club Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Sheffield (Immediate Start)

Position: After-School Club Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Part-time, weekdays (afternoons/early evenings)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Role Overview: As an After-School Club Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for children ages 5-11. You will help plan and supervise activities, engage students in educational play, and encourage positive social interaction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is energetic, caring, and enjoys working with young learners.
Key Responsibilities: *Support and supervise children during after-school club activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
*Assist in planning and leading a variety of creative, physical, and educational activities.
*Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and respected.
*Help maintain a clean and organized environment, preparing materials as needed.
*Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents when necessary.
Requirements: *Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school or childcare setting).
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A friendly, patient, and proactive approach.
*A relevant qualification in childcare or education is beneficial but not essential.
*An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
