Job Description:
Senior Bid Estimator
Salary of up to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience plus benefits.
The role will be remote working with some ad-hoc travel to London and operational sites when required.
Our reputable client is looking for a Senior Bid Estimator to join their central Bid Team, who will be responsible for preparing the financial modelling and financial written submission for bids/tenders. This is a full time, permanent opportunity.
Senior Bid Estimator role:
The Senior Bid Manager Estimator will take the lead on all financial elements of bids, preparing detailed analytical tenders and estimates from first principles and to meet strict deadlines. From cost estimation to market pricing analysis, this role will design, develop, and implement a strategy tailored for success. The role will also: -
*Ensure granular and itemised financial inputs that align perfectly with contractual obligations.
*Make sure that pricing procedures are followed
*Provide supply chain quotations, with the help of the commercial team
*Assist with governance processes by checking the necessary approvals are in place
*Deliver high quality estimates
*Participate in risk assessment
*To develop and enhance the bid and tender process, you’ll keep records of pricing documents, including change control, and build a library of outputs and pricing data. These resources will help you support bids in other parts of our client and ad-hoc operational projects.
Essential experience and skills as Senior Bid Estimator:
*Degree-qualified in relevant technical or commercial discipline, but equivalent experience is also acceptable.
*Experience of producing multi-disciplined, high value, high quality tender submissions, with a technical background in a relevant discipline
*Advanced Microsoft office knowledge, particularly in excel
*Understanding of government model contracts and contracting arrangements, including interpretation of billing mechanisms from tender documentation
*High level of communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate programme, risk-related, financial and contractual issues to the senior leadership bid team members
*Commercially aware and highly numerate
*Demonstrable experience of producing complex financial models which reflect both the operational solution and commercial requirements of individual tenders
*Flexible and able to work on your own initiative with minimal support - with ability to work irregular hours to complete bids if necessary and travel if required.
*Basic DBS check will be required
*Car driver
