Job Description:
Our client, a multisite manufacturing business, seek to appoint a Production Director to run their manufacturing function. The appointed Production Director will have overall responsibility for production / manufacturing, quality, health and safety and supply chain activities for a large team. Production Director - Role & Responsibilities - Manufacturing, Operations
* Deliver on the operational KPIs for the site whilst simultaneously further developing a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment
* Lead senior colleagues in manufacturing and engineering to contribute effectively to the growth strategy of the business
* Comfortable leading the production management team. Detailed knowledge of quality, engineering and health and safety required too
* Strategically plan to deliver on long term vision of the company ensuring painless growth
* Flexible attitude on a day to day basis. Firm and persistant when expressing views but a good listener comfortable changing course if given compelling reasons

* Of degree calibre with well evidenced leadership and coaching abilities
* Formal Lean and Continuous Improvement training preferred. Track record of lean implementation and development of a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement
* Prior experience working for a manufacturer in a senior management / director post
* Gravitas to lead a large team. Comfortable from shop floor to board room
* Relationship builder able to increase co-operation across departments
