Digital Engagement Officer RBKC619092
Job Summary:
Salary range: £31,716 - £35,862 per annum
Work location: London
Hours per week: 36
Contract type: Permanent
Closing date: 17th November 2024.
Interview date: Week commencing 25th November 2024.
About Us:
Tell stories and support innovative and consistent content by helping to shape social media, newsletters and more. Connect people to online resources that could change their lives, working with a range of people to make a real difference.
The Bi-Borough Libraries and Archives Service at Kensington and Chelsea is an exceptional place in which to develop your career. Working with our partners at Westminster City Council, we hold the shared ambition of helping every member of our community Read, Learn and Connect. These values underpin all that we do, as we firmly believe that equality in society can be enhanced and driven by helping people develop a love of learning and improving their literacy, knowledge, and skills. Furthermore, this service allows people to connect – and in the current climate, this has never been more important. Rising up to the challenges presented by the pandemic, we must evolve in how we are engaging with people, and continue to raise awareness of our services so that we are capable of making a difference to the lives of those who need us most. It is within this dynamic and inspirational working environment that you could find a great challenge
The Role:
Working across both boroughs, you will be part of a small yet ambitious team to provide exceptional library, digital engagement, and digital services to our communities. You will work closely with the Digital Library Services Manager to increase awareness and use of our services by supporting digital engagement, working on day-to-day updates and campaigns for community and commercial services. You will support an increase in engagement and reach of our digital channels.
We want to elevate perceptions above and beyond ’just’ being a physical space in which people can browse books so, you will help to tell the stories of our service through utilising digital channels and social media, whilst recording metrics to show progress in reach and engagement.
Please refer to the Job Description for more information.
About You:
This is an exceptional opportunity to support the future of our services. In order to succeed in this challenge, you will have hands-on experience of social media scheduling, newsletters, keeping websites, screens, and apps updated consistently to deliver core services.
This is a varied role that suits someone looking to develop engagement and content skills, whilst supporting a range of services, events, and projects, from reading clubs to co-working hubs.
With good communication skills, above all else, you will be passionate about the value that library and archive services can add to people’s lives, and you will champion our core purpose and vision.
We’d still love to hear from you, even if you do not match every skill.
Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. We reserve the right to extend or close this vacancy early without warning subject to the volume of suitable applicants.
