Job Description:
Can you incorporate hands-on activities or projects into your lessons to help students apply theoretical concepts?
Are you capable of teaching students with diverse levels of experience in computer science and technology?
Can you encourage students to take ownership of their learning and set their own academic goals?
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science teacher in Preston to inspire and teach KS3 and KS4 students. With a competitive daily pay ranging from £155 to £230, depending on your qualifications and experience.
You will be responsible for teaching the students and helping them learn the basics of coding, problem-solving, and understanding how technology works. You’ll create engaging lessons that allow students to develop practical skills and explore the exciting world of computers.

Responsibilities:
*Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
*Strong knowledge of the curriculum
*Punctual and reliable
*Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
*Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
*Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
*Set homework and mark promptly
*Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
*Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
*Respond to questioning
Preferred skills:
*Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
*Strong classroom management
*Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
*Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
*Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal attributes:
*You will have a genuine passion for teaching
*Experience up to key stage 3/4
*QTS/PGCE equivalent
*Be flexible and committed
