Job Description:
Are you an ambitious and analytically minded with a passion for finance, M&A, and infrastructure? Calisen is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Transactions team, supporting our mission to expand into new markets, with a strong focus on water and net-zero energy infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to play a vital role in driving our business objectives forward through M&A activity, financial analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration.
About the Role
As an Investment Analyst, you will:
*Contribute to Calisen’s growth by supporting M&A and organic business expansion within infrastructure, particularly in the water and net-zero sectors.
*Assist in financial analysis, scenario modelling, and the preparation of presentations and investment committee papers for senior team members.
*Participate in the origination and due diligence processes, reviewing information memorandums and due diligence materials with guidance and training.
*Engage with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Operations, Legal, Finance) to secure and deliver new business contracts.
*Collaborate on commercial tender tracking and project management.
*Support the development of new commercial propositions from concept to execution for Calisen portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities
*Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis with support from senior team members.
*Contribute to the group’s operational reporting requirements.
*Participate in commercial tender processes and project management alongside senior Transactions team members.
*Support business growth plans post-acquisition or organic development utilizing Calisen’s existing infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
*Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
*Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, numeracy, and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
*Flexible, organized, and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn.
Desirable:
*Professional financial qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA).
*Knowledge of project financial principles, contractual structures, and financial modelling.
*Experience in energy or infrastructure sectors and understanding of capital markets.
Personal Attributes
*Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the business.
*Proactive and able to handle confidential information responsibly.

*Provide suitable references and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
