Job Title: Caretaker
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £11.50 - £11.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
We are currently recruiting for an experienced caretaker to cover a primary school in Barnsley.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform general maintenance and both planned and reactive maintenance within your skillset.
*Conduct minor repairs to building fabric to ensure safety and security for clients, staff, and visitors.
*Safely respond to adverse weather conditions, including snow clearing, gritting, flooding, and high winds.
*Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies across all sites.
*Maintain positive relationships with clients.
*Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize penalty deductions per project agreements.
*Keep all servicing records updated and compliant with statutory guidelines.
Qualifications:
*Relevant experience in maintenance or caretaker roles.
*Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Understanding of health and safety regulations.
