Job Description:
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Salary: Approx £42k
Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, shift rota covering 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (Double Days).
Join a dynamic team within the manufacturing industry. We’re searching for a Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background and basic electrical skills. You’ll be part of a talented maintenance team ensuring the smooth operation of critical equipment at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform routine and complex mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations.
*Follow all company procedures and safety standards.
*work to our planned preventative maintenance schedules.
*Provide technical support for projects and contribute your expertise.
*Respond to emergency breakdowns, and troubleshoot faults to minimise downtime.
*Carry out modifications and installations on-site.
*Provide on-call cover and be available for overtime if required.
Your Skills & Experience:
*A times-served engineer who has completed a recognised apprenticeship such as an NVQ or City and Guilds in Maintenance Engineering.
*5 years experience in a similar role.
*Competent in mechanical/electrical repairs, fault finding, and basic welding and fabrication.
*Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and the ability to work under current legislation.
*Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
