Project Worker *Job Type: Full-time and Part time Hours Available
*Location: Openshaw or Wythenshawe
*Salary: £16 per hour
*Contract: Temporary
We are seeking a dedicated Project Worker to join our team, focusing on providing comprehensive support to students to ensure equal access to high-quality education. This role involves working collaboratively with staff, external agencies, and families to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Identify, assess, and meet the support needs of students, collaborating with teachers, support workers, and external agencies.
*Maintain effective communication with colleagues, parents/carers, and other professionals to support both academic and personal development of students.
*Create and monitor SMART targets for attendance and punctuality.
*Document student progress, behaviour, and attendance meticulously, using the college’s record-keeping systems to provide regular feedback.
*Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a vigilant and caring environment.
*Manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and restorative practices.
*Build positive relationships with students to support their social, emotional, and academic growth.
*Plan and deliver tutorial programmes tailored to individual needs and support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
*Coordinate and lead extracurricular activities to enhance student engagement and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
*Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to create and maintain a safe, nurturing educational environment.
*Skilled in crisis management and student behaviour management.
*Proficient in record-keeping and data management systems.
*Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
