Location:
George Edwards Hall, Well Street, CefnMawr, Wrexham, LL143AE or x Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Trevor Basin Visitor Centre, Trevor Basin, Off Station Road, Trevor, Wrexham, LL20 7TY
Pay:
£1.44 - £13 per hour (depending on role and experience)

Join our Team as Event Staff!
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our event staff team at a key community event in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham. As an Event Staff member, you will be the main point of contact for visitors and play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy engaging with the public and working in a lively, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Visitor Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing excellent customer service.
*Event Support: Distribute event programmes, offer information about scheduled activities, and guide visitors to key areas.
*Audience Management: Take surveys, monitor audience sizes, and help maintain order and safety at key event points.
*Safety & Emergency Response: Ensure safety protocols are followed, report hazards, and respond to emergencies by contacting appropriate services when necessary.
*Crowd Control: Ensure that event attendees adhere to guidelines, including following designated routes and preventing overcrowding.
*Team Collaboration: Work in pairs with another team member throughout the day. Breaks and lunch will be covered to ensure continuous staffing.
*Emergency Preparedness: Follow the Serious Incident Action Plan and report any concerns immediately to the event leader.
*Adhere to Policies: Follow all guidelines outlined in the event briefing, including Canal and River Trust policies and procedures.

*Customer-Focused: Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude when engaging with visitors.
*Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, ensuring a smooth event experience for all attendees.
*Responsible: Committed to maintaining safety and order, with the ability to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
*Prepared for Outdoor Work: Willingness to work outside in November weather - ensure you are prepared for all weather conditions.
*Availability: Must attend a briefing meeting before the weekend event to be fully prepared.
Additional Information:
*Hourly Rate: £1.44 - £13 per hour, depending on the specific role and your experience.
*Full Event Day Commitment: Staff must be available for the full duration of the event, with break times managed by the team.
