Job Description:
Group Financial Accountant | Northwich | £50,000 - £60,000
An opportunity has arisen for an ACA/ACCA trained Accountant looking to work for a very successful, high growth business that have a track record of growing and developing talent in the local area.
Ideally suited to an individual trained in practice and looking for either their first move in to industry or perhaps a second, looking to step in to a more senior role. This role has a pre-defined progression pathway into a Controller position.
Working closely with the current Group Financial Controller and wider team, you will take an active part in the development current controls, procedures and reporting standards across the group.
Other main duties will include;
*Production of monthly MI packs
*Production of financial reporting packs in line with IFRS requirements and ideally US GAAP
*Direct responsibility for VAT and Tax submissions
*Main point of contact for external auditors
*Production of financial statements and statutory accounts
*Assist the Financial Controller through the consolidation process
*Work closely with the commercial finance team to ensure reporting deadlines are managed appropriately
*Take an active part in the on going requirement to improve procedures and reporting standards within the group
*Challenge current system usage, with exposure to a new ERP system implementation
Candidate profile;
*ACA qualified preferred
*Strong technical experience under IFRS
*FX and/or hedging experience advantageous
*Excellent communicator – ability to work closely with commercial finance
*Ability to challenge internally, especially around processes and changing ’normal’ behaviours
