Job Description:
Adecco’s specialist Property services division north is delighted to be partnering with a northwest affordable housing provider to recruit for 2 x Interim Assets /Repairs Surveyors to work on their properties based in Stockport area.
Purpose
Postholder to provide a technical support service for Group, working closely with a range of stakeholders including in-house contractors, partner contractors, subcontractors, and customers, to deliver a wide range of inspection and repair services to the organisation’s assets.
The role entails working in a whole range of properties including domestic properties, commercial premises, and public buildings.
Duties
* Conduct in depth surveys utilising specialist equipment to assist in diagnosis of disrepair issues and any minor structural defects.
* Responsive repairs inspections involving the identification of rechargeable repairs, diagnosing defects and remedial works, prioritising of work, empty property (void) inspections, stock condition surveys, producing schedules of work and supervision of remedial works, work in progress and post work inspections.
* Prepare schedules of work and prioritise the work as required. Monitor completion dates and all aspects of quality of both internal and external contractors.
* Identify repairs to void dwellings as part of our process for the re letting of properties.
* Obtain accurate and detailed information about necessary repairs/improvements to properties, and undertake a range of surveys, i.e. Stock Condition, Energy Efficiency, HHSRS, Legionella and Asbestos.
* Undertake post work inspections to determine value for money, quality of the repair service and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
* A recognised building related qualification (HNC or equivalent).
* Experience working in social housing maintenance, especially with damp & mould issues, repairs, and assets.
* Experience dealing with contracts and contract management.
* A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, in particular the requirements under the Construction, Design Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
* Experience using IT applications and Microsoft software (Excel, Word and Outlook).
Rates of pay
* £30 - £33 /h - negotiable /enquire to discuss
