Pertemps Dudley are recruiting for a Tester, on behalf of our client based in the Dudley area. The successful candidate will have a focus on X-ray inspection. In this entry-level role, you will receive comprehensive training to become proficient in testing techniques, to ensure the integrity and safety of materials and components.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in a structured training program to develop expertise in X-ray testing techniques and other testing methods as required
• Assist in conducting inspections on various materials and components to detect defects or inconsistencies.
• Record and analyse test results, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of inspection findings
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect yourself and others in the workplace
• Help maintain and calibrate testing equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to senior staff
Required skills and experience:
• A strong interest in technology and quality control
• Good understanding of basic mathematics
• Excellent attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and grow
Hours of work:
• 8am-4pm Monday to Friday whilst in training
• 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotating shift pattern once trained
• Flexibility to eventually work night shifts is preferred
Rate of pay:
• £11.44 per hour whilst in training
• 12% shift allowance for rotating shifts
• 17% shift allowance for night shifts
