Textiles Teacher - Secondary School (Maternity Cover)
Location: Wandsworth
Contract: Part-Time (4 days per week), Maternity Cover
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Dunbar Education is proud to be working with a well-regarded Secondary School in London, seeking a passionate and dedicated Textiles Teacher to join their vibrant team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a strong background in Textiles to inspire and engage students during for maternity cover.
Key Responsibilities:
*Teach Design Technologyand lead engaging classes in DT Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification).
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Textiles lessons in line with the curriculum.
*Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
*Encourage creativity and innovation in student projects.
*Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental activities.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
*Proven experience teaching Textiles at secondary level.
*Strong subject knowledge and passion for Textiles.
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
