Job Description:
Are you passionate about history and ready to lead a department? Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of History to join an Ofsted ’good’ 11-16 mixed academy in the picturesque Test Valley of Hampshire.

*Contract: Full-time, Permanent
*Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) + TLR for Head of History

Key Responsibilities

As Head of History, you will:

*Develop and execute strategies for teaching and learning in the History department
*Lead curriculum planning and implementation
*Drive professional development within the department
*Inspire and motivate both students and staff
*Contribute to the school’s overall academic success

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced History teacher who possesses:

*A relevant degree in History or a related field
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Proven teaching experience at secondary level, ideally within a similar setting
*Strong leadership skills with a track record of departmental success
*Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for history
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
