A progressive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Nottingham is seeking a dedicated Construction Teacher to join our team. This rewarding role involves teaching practical construction skills to students who benefit from a unique, tailored approach to learning. Your work will have a direct impact on helping these young people build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach Construction Skills: Provide hands-on construction lessons in a workshop setting, adapting to the varying abilities and needs of students with SEND and those facing challenging behaviors.
Promote Engagement & Motivation: Encourage positive behaviors and attitudes through engaging, constructive learning experiences.
Plan & Deliver Curriculum: Create lesson plans that align with national standards, customized to meet the specific requirements of our students.
Provide Behavioral Support: Use strategies to manage and support students with challenging behaviors, helping them to thrive in a learning environment.
Requirements:
Qualified Construction Teaching Experience: Must have previous experience teaching construction and delivering practical skills to young people.
Experience with SEND & Behavioral Needs: Familiarity with supporting students with SEND and/or challenging behaviors in a learning environment.
Commitment to a Temp-to-Perm Role: Ability to start ASAP and commit to a 12-week temporary position, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent contract directly with the school.
Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with and motivate young people facing a range of educational and personal challenges.
