We are looking for an Mechanic/MOT Technician for a small but ambitious garage business. The role will be based in Saltford, and is full time, Monday to Friday (working 8.30am - 6pm). The role
Reporting into the Garage Manager duties will include:
*Carrying out MOT’s on light commercial vehicle and cars
*Carrying out the mechanical servicing, repair and MOT Testing on a variety of vehicles.
*Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and filter replacements, clutches and timing belts.
*Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment.
*Conducting inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
*Using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
*Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
*Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
*Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedure.
*Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard.
The person
*Experience in Mechanical Technician/Vehicle Technician
*You will be an MOT Tester with current valid license
*Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
*Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
*Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Excellent problem-solving abilities
*Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
Salary
£25,000 - £32,000 plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), Monday to Friday (NO SATURDAY WORKING) - 8.30am - 6pm and pension.
