Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client’s Conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in conveyancing, offering vital support to solicitors and ensuring a seamless experience for clients. You will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, including document preparation, client communication, and file management, all within a busy and dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist solicitors with the conveyancing process from initial instruction to completion.
*Prepare and manage legal documents, including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds.
*Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
*Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other third parties regarding conveyancing matters.
*Conduct property searches and assist in the preparation of reports.
*Manage appointments and schedules for the conveyancing team.
*Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
*Perform administrative tasks such as billing, filing, and data entry.
*Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices within conveyancing.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a conveyancing environment.
*Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant legal terminology.
*Proficient in using legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
*Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
*A certificate in Legal Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualification.
*Experience with electronic filing systems and document management software.
