Job Description:
We are delighted to be assisting a market leading Claims Management and Loss Adjusting firm, with the addition of a Building Surveyor. This will be a home-based role, covering the Leicester area, where typically your appointment will not exceed 2hrs travel time. This role would certainly suit those who thrive within the technical aspect of surveying.
The key responsibilities for the role include:
*Working alongside Loss Adjusters, where the claim is typically Adjuster led and requires further surveying expertise, in order to progress and settle the claims as efficiently as possible.
*You will conduct initial visits and assess damage to a high professional standard, help establish and agree the defect diagnosis, then progress ensuing all Planning, Building Regulations Party Wall and CDM issues are addressed.
*90% of your caseload will domestic property surveys, handling material damage losses as well as assisting with complex building related issues.
*Claims are typically around £70K in value, with upper limits exceeding over £1M in value.
*Complaint resolution and compliance of performance and process requirements.
*All claims will require appraisal reports with budget costings and recommendations.
To be considered, you will:
*Have relevant insurance industry experience, and be technically competent.
*Professional qualifications such as MRICS would certainly add weight to your application.
*Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Proactive - making sure KPIs and SLAs are met.
*Ability to use technology and systems in order to produce good quality reports and presentations.
*Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and being aware of industry changes.
In return, you will receive a marketing leading salary up to £55,000, along with a company car or car allowance. In addition, you will have comprehensive benefits package, including 27 days annual leave, company pension, dental and medical plans and genuine career development.
